We have been providing services in Denver, Colorado since 1918. By 1946, we added speech therapy and changed our name to the Denver Hearing Society. We began offering hearing services in Colorado Springs in the early '70's.
In 1970, we formed a revenue-generating arm called Sound Solutions, marketing primarily to manufacturing businesses across the United States who must meet OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) sound level standards in the workplace. The proceeds from Sound Solutions are put back into our charitable programming to offset the costs so that the needs of low and moderate income people in Denver and Colorado Springs are met.
