Maeline Barnstable, M.A., CCC-SLP, Speech-Language Pathologist; KidScreen Team Professional

Maeline Barnstable graduated on the Dean's list from the University of Illinois with a B.S. in Speech and Hearing Science and she holds a Master's Degree in Communication Disorders from the University of Houston. She is certified by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association in speech pathology. She has worked with individuals with speech, language and swallowing disorders, adults with neurological impairments (i.e. strokes, dementia), as well as with preschool-aged children with developmental delays. Maeline has also been a presenter for inservice training for healthcare staff and the general public.

Juli Brennan has an AAS degree in Dairy and Food Science and a Minor in Elementary Education from State University of New York at Canton in Canton, New York. She was a teacher's aide with Positive Alternative Preschool for 5 years before joining CHSL as a vision/hearing/speech screener. She became a volunteer/co-coordinator for the "Sensible Screen" held bi-annually at St. Vincent de Paul School during her time as a homemaker. She returned to CHSL in August 2007 to present.

Cindy Gladden, KidScreen Team Professional

Cindy Gladden is a part-time member of the KidScreen team and has been involved as a childcare professional serving infants and preschoolers. Cindy is the mother of several children with special needs. Prior to joining our team, she spent seven years as a volunteer vision screener.

Carla Godec , M.A., KidScreen Team Professional

Carla Godec holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Colorado in Speech and Language Pathology. She worked in the California school district for 6 years with learning disabled and hearing impaired children. Carla joined the team in August 2007.

Pam Holtz, M.Ed., CCC-SLP, Speech-Language Pathologist, No Child Left Behind Program Co-Director

Pam Holtz has been involved with the FastForWord program since its inception in the No Child Left Behind after school program. She graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a B.A. and from the Pennsylvania State University with a M.Ed., with both degrees in Speech-Language Pathology.  She has worked in various settings from private practice to public schools, with experience working primarily with children with speech and language disorders, autism spectrum disorder, articulation disorders, fetal alcohol spectrum disorder, developmental delays and learning disabilities. Pam joined the CHSL staff part time with NCLB in 2004 and full time in 2008.

Kimberly Maki, RISE Assistant

Kimberly Maki began volunteering for the RISE program in 2008. She continued to volunteer for 3 years, until recently when she joined the faculty as a Site Manager. She graduated from the University of New Hampshire in 2005 with a BS in Family Studies. In 2009 she earned a leveling certificate in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences from Metro State College of Denver. Kimberly is working towards acceptance into a graduate program for Speech-Language Pathology.

Janet Nissen, M.A., CCC-SLP, Speech-Language Pathologist; KidScreen Team Professional

Janet Nissen graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a bachelors and masters degree in speech pathology in 1974 and 1975 respectively. Janet joined the CHSL staff in 2007 and is trained in the multi-sensory approach to reading, as well as the Wilson Reading Program. She has experience working with children diagnosed with learning disabilities, speech/language disabilities, developmental disabilities, emotional disorders and Asperger's Syndrome. In addition, she has extensive assessment experienced gained as an active member of an interdisciplinary assessment team.

Beth O'Brien, M.A., CCC-A, F-AAA, Children's & Adolescent Clinical Services/Educational Audiologist

Beth O'Brien joined CHSL in 2003. She has more than twenty years experience working with individuals with hearing impairments, as well as persons with physical and mental disabilities. She has a Masters Degree in Audiology, a well as a graduate certificate in the management of non-profit organizations. Beth has worked as an advocate for persons with developmental disabilities, served as a case management director for a large community agency, directed and taught in a local preschool, taught conflict resolution and served as a facilitator/trainer in planning individual support services for people with special needs.

She is currently part of our screening and diagnostic teams. Beth is the audiology consultant for the Kidscreen program and auditory processing diagnostic team. Beth's strong background and positive personality adds tremendous strength to our programs.

Ann Rosapep, No Child Left Behind Program Co-director 

Ann Rosapep began working with the FastForWord program at CHSL in the spring of 2008.  She holds B.A. degrees in Art and Elementary Education from the College of St. Catherine, St. Paul, Minnesota.  With a total of sixteen years of classroom experience teaching kindergarten through fifth grade, Ann holds current Professional Teaching Licenses in both Virginia and Colorado. In 2007, Ann received a Distinguished Teacher Recognition from Arlington, Virginia Catholic Schools.

Gail Seto, M.A., RISE Program Coordinator

Gail Seto is a retired Special Education teacher who has worked for the public school system in Colorado for thirty-two years. She received her Bachelor of Arts and Masters Degrees in Special Education with emphasis in Learning Disabilities and Cognitive Development from the University of Northern Colorado, Greeley. Gail has certification in Education Administration and was an Educational Consultant to classroom teachers.

Clarisse Simonini, M.A., CCC-SLP, Speech-Language Pathologist

Clarisse Simonini graduated from Northern Illinois University with a Bachelors and Masters degree in speech pathology. She joined CHSL in 1980 as a speech therapist. She enjoys working with people of all ages, from toddlers through adults. The Center offers close contact with clients and families, which she feels adds to client success. She has a broad knowledge of communication disorders, which is an asset to the Center and her clients. Her therapy days are Tuesday and Thursday.
